This weekly session provides a nurturing environment for pregnant people to experience emotional and sensory calm, practice techniques they might use in birth and experience deep relaxation. There is time for socialising and discussing of hopes and fears around pregnancy, birth and preparing to parent. Your consultant is deeply knowledgable about pregnancy, birth and parenting and will be able to educate and support you throughout your pregnancy.
During the sessions you will also have the opportunity to practice bonding with your baby before they arrive. Sessions usually take place in the evening and contain:

Deep relaxation techniques
Movement for comfort and relaxation in pregnancy, and for use in labour and birth
Restorative positions to boost energy
We may use bolsters, birthing balls, blankets, and cushions to support you during the sessions..
